Introduction

The Deepavali Carnival 2013 is quickly approaching and will be here before you know it. This year’s fair will begin on 19th October and ends on  1st November, the eve of Deepavali day. We are proud of our contribution to the community, bringing shopping and entertainment to an urban setting in its 8th year of continuous operation. Deepavali is a major Indian Festival and a significant festival in Hinduism. Today it is celebrated across the globe as the “Festival of Light” where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over the evil within every being. The 12th DEEPAVALI CARNIVAL 2013 is the most impressive shopping cum entertainment mega event ever organised for Indian proprietors and entrepreneurs from around the world. This is an event organised by THE MALAYSIA – INDIA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND ASC AGENDA SURIA COMMUNICATION SDN BHD.

Renowned for its Indian shopping lifestyle, Deepavali Carnival positioned Malaysia as the largest Indian Shopping Carnival in the region. Exhibitors who exhibit their products will be coming from Malaysia, India and all over the world, to provide you access to otherwise hard to reach product.

India has a variety of ethnic colors and life. However it is virtually impossible to shop for products in just one city let alone under one roof India’s best products is scattered miles apart throughout the region. In Deepavali Carnival 2011 we have gone to great length to bring best and unique products from various traders from different parts of India such as; Kashmir, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Maharastra, Orrisa, Punjab, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat.

 

The Carnival

The main purpose of this carnival is to provide the Indian products within the reach of people who are persons of Indian Origin but living abroad. The aim is to provide a single shopping platform for the people to buy Indian products like: Handicrafts, Textiles, Jewellery, Spices and Condiments, Sarees, Punjabi Suits, Women Accessories, Leather Items, Packed Foods, Jute Items, Toys, Kitchenware, Crockery and Cutlery, Beauty and Herbal Products, Office Equipments, Footware, Interior Décor, Ladies Tops, Night Dresses, Bed Sheets, Carpets, Wooden and Metal Carvings, Paintings, Fashion Garments and IT Products, Indian Savouries and many more items which are unique to India.

 

 Activities

11th Deepavali Carnival 2012 is full of exciting activities which is highly interactive. You can participate in the various contests specially designed to keep them busy throughout the festival. These include; dance competitions, arts competition for children to name a few. On top of that, there are also fashion shows of the products being showcased. Above all 10th Deepavali Carnival 2011 will witness more exhilarating activities to come. You can be sure that there is something for everybody making this event a memorable experience for everyone. Venue

Having our exhibitors and visitors best interest at heart, we have chosen Bukit Jalil Sports Complex as the venue for12th Deepavali Carnival 2013. An attraction in itself, Bukit Jalil Sports Complex is the main transportation hub of Kuala Lumpur getting there is not a problem since it is highly accessible by public transport; bus taxi and train equipped with a massive parking lot.

The Fair will be backed by wide publicity with:

Sign Boards, Banners, Buntings, Leaflets, Website,  Local TV, Local Radio Station, Local Newspaper, Idayam & Thendral Magazine and other types of promotion, including the placement of buntings at strategic places in Kuala Lumpur city.
